the blog

In my opinion, I like this blog "Chicago & Windy Olympics 2016 " because it is very clean and easy to read.

The best blog

In my opinion every blog has great value and every person did good job.So it's hard to choose. But i do like it blog presented by Leslaw,Sajeed,Venkat.Good work boys and good luck...:):)

The best blog

I think the best blog blongs Sajeed, because i think that he wrote very basic and simple, i mean there is no unnecessary information. He support my idea with diffrent perspective, so he gave me new opinions about olympics.

North Avenue Beach

It was a great day. I went to North Ave Beach with my teacher and one of my classmate by my teacher's old car :) It was funny travel for me. When we arrrived there, we were lucky, because we could find a parking lot easily eventhough big crowded. It was a unique day in Chicago, because the weather was hot, i mean really hot. That's why, all Chicago run to there. I can not blame them, because weather was unusual and great, North Ave Beach was also great. Everybody was having fun there. They were playing volleyball, frisbee...that's why i was not even one available volleyball net.People were walking with the dogs, running, exercising, riding bikes and rollerblading, swimming, and i swam, too. It was my first time that i swam this summer.

ofcourse chicago

Olympics seasons comes closer, and everybody who likes olympics starts to get excited. Everybody has same question mark in their mind. Which city will be HOST CITY for these olympics. In my opinion, ofcourse Chicago has the best chance of winning. Furthermore i honestly think it has the best proposal, because the city has enough experience, infrastructure and richness to afford and greet people. In my opinion, hosting for olympics is good for a city, because the city can develop with that, can be more rich, and people can meet different cultures...I checked all website about candidate cities for olympics, and i can say that Rio has the best website, because when i see it, i just wanted to go to see that wonderful beaches, friendly, warm and funny people eventhough i think Rio doesn't have enough infrastructure for olympics. However i thougt that Tokyo has the best logo, because the logo that Tokyo has is more creative. The logo ties the five olympic colors in the form of a traditional Japanese knot. However. as i mentioned before Chicago can make its bid better, because of the experience, modernity, richness, infrastructure...The cost of the infrastructure will be financed by the government of Chicago, and Chicago's(USA) government is the richest one. However, i would like to see Rio or Tokyo win. I would like to tell IOC, accept all cost of everything about olympics and give a chance to introduce Rio to World, because Rio is the most beautiful city among candidate, but doesn't have enough money to afford olympics.

Final discussions

As a group we think the best chance to win the Olympic 2016 is Rio de Janerio. Why?We honestly think will be good for this country.Latin America has never hosted Olympic before. Also culture and passion for sport in this country. We saw many times Europe,North America ,Asia hosted Olympians and maybe right now is time for changes. We also think Rio's proposal is strong enough to bring Games to this city.Brazil’s resilient economy is an important string in the Rio 2016 bow. Brazilians are also well known and credible on the world stage in terms of organizing mayor events. After the success of the 2002 South American Games and the Rio 2007 Pan American Games, Brazil also won the race to host the 2011 World Military Games, the 2013 Confederations Cup and the 2014 World Cup, boosting the country’s status as a sports hub.If you look all those candidates city website Rio's doesn't look so impressing and we decided Chicago website look good. It's very easy to access all those pages and is very clear. You can fast go and read all the info.If we look at the logo in our opinion Madrid has very interested logo. The hand’s colours represent unity among the different cultures, people, and nationalities that coexist in Madrid. The shape of the hand represents a friendly greeting where one appreciates the freshness of Madrid and its people. Bid for the Olympic is always hard thing to do it.Everybody try to do the best. We have very strong four cities and will be one winner.Of course nobody want to lose and after that we always ask question "maybe we could do more or maybe we should do that...etc" but the honest answer is it wasn't ment to be for us...Every single city has great chance and who ever will host the Olympic it's going to do well.We disscuss in our group and opinions were different. One of us want Tokyo to win ,other Rio and Chicago.Of course we came from around the world and each of us has different sentiment to every country.Let's see we are the representive of our city and we have to tell the IOC to convince them we would say "pick us"So we would like to wish all the best to Madrid,Rio,Chicago and Tokyo and for those who loose "don't worry always is next time".....See ya in Copenhagen on 2th October....

They have more many transportation and easy to travel than other cities.About the environment, madrid has more nice weather than Rio and Tokyo.

Madrid vs Rio de Janerio

Madrid the capital of Spain and also candidate city for the summer Olympic Games 2016.There are innumerous tourist attractions in Madrid . Near the Plaza Mayor, there are various churches, convents, palaces and monuments that were constructed during the 16th century which now form part of the Madrid of the Hapsburgs. The sun never sets in Madrid Spain. It is a city that is depicted, as the city never sleeps. This indicates its lively and vivacious nightlife. The nightclubs at Madrid are always pulsating with life and energy. Of course we can't forget about delicious spanish food like spanish paella and wine.Spanish people like eat.Definatelly is worth it go and see Madrid.

Rio de Janerio is the largest city in Brazil and South America. It is modern, metropolitan area.Rio is famous for its natural settings, its carnival celebrations, samba and other music and hotel-lined tourist beaches,Copacabana and Ipanema. In addition to the wonderful beaches include the giant statue of Christ named Christ the Redeemer which is one of the Seven Wonders of the World.Rio also has one of the largest football stadiums( Maracana Stadium) and a giand permanent parade stand. The largest and second largest urban forests in the world are in the Rio de Janerio, too.

Olympic Spirit

Olympic spirit is "to build a peaceful and better world in the Olympic Spirit which requires mutual understanding with a spirit of friendship, solidarity and fair play.In the movie,i liked a part of the movie that the coach Brooks said “You think you can win on talent alone? You don’t have enough talent to win on talent alone". When the players first begin practicing together for the Olympics, Coach Brooks asked where the boys are from and which team they play for. Each man gives his name, city and team name. After team loss against a European team, Coach Brooks makes his point by torturing the guys with skating drills until one person finally gets it. The player gives his name and city, and when the coach asks who he plays for, he replies “United States of America.” The point is taken and the guys become a “family". And finally they get the gold medal in olympic game.

Olympic spirit

Olympic Spirit is challenging and fun, providing a deeper understanding of the beauty, grace, and passion of Olympic sport and human values.Olympic Spirit captures the moments of high drama and emotion experienced by Olympians and fans throughout.Olympic Spirit comes close to capturing the state of mind that an athlete experiences when he is in the stadium, in the arena, and it evokes the atmosphere and the feelings experienced by the athlete. The Olympic motto may be the Latin phrase "Citius, Altius, Fortius" (Faster, Higher, Stronger) but spare a thought in Beijing for those who are "Slower, Lower, and Weaker".In the movie "Miracle" is the story of the U.S. Olympic hockey team that made sports history by taking the gold medal in hockey away from the Soviets. The Miracle on Ice was a monumental victory on both an athletic and political level. The nation was looking for a distraction from world events, which included the impending threat of nuclear war, the country's hostages in Iran, and the long lines at the gas pumps. With little good in the news, Herb Brooks and his ragtag hockey team of college kids soon became the national focus. Their victory over the Soviet Union, Cold War enemy, gave the United States a symbol of hope. It also inflicted upon the Russians a scar of defeat. Everything is possible for those who believe...."Doesn't matter if there are better than you you also can achieve own your success just "play your game"

Tokyo-what you should know?

1.How many people live in Tokyo?
2.What kind of weather Tokyo has in the summer?
3.What chance Tokyo has to host 2016 Olympics Games?

North Avenue Beach

This beach is crowded, but for good reason. For one, it's one of the easiest beaches to access from public transportation. There's a bridge connecting the beach to the park just to the west and several pedestrian underpasses to ensure you don't have to brave the traffic along Lake Shore Drive. An entire swath of sand is covered with volleyball nets. There is also some decent people-watching along the bike path as half of Chicago is out riding bikes, rollerblading, and walking their dogs. The boathouse has decent food and drinks and an incredible view of both the lake and the city.

Is North Avenue Beach a good spot for the Olympic volleyball competition???

Yes, this beach is crowded, but for good reason. For one, it's one of the easiest beaches to access from public transportation. - Easily accessible by 72 Bus. 10 minutes tops from Sedgewick. I strongly recommend taking public transportation over driving. Good luck trying to find a spot in the lot. Seriously.- Clean water. I love being able to see the bottom of the lake when I'm yards out.- FABULOUS view of Gold Coast's skyscrapers! There are also public restrooms available . The southside is one of the top photo-op spots in Chicago. South side is littered with trash. Bottles (plastic and glass), ice cream wrappers, and more. Lots of algae too. Avoid that area.- Space. It is RIDICULOUSLY crowded on weekends. If you just want to sit with a book and relax, hit the beach. You will not be disappointed.I think if Chicago gets Olympic it have to be lot of things done...
